Rules & Regulations
As per BSAEU regulations, every student must attend classes regularly and punctually. Students attending at least 80% of classes will be considered ‘Collegiate’, while those below this threshold will be deemed ‘Non-Collegiate’. Non-Collegiate students will face fines and may be barred from appearing in examinations.
Attendance in all college examinations is compulsory. Absence without valid reason will incur penalties. A medical certificate must be submitted for three or more consecutive days of absence due to illness.
Internal assessment marks, as per BSAEU and ASP College of Education regulations, will be awarded based on the following criteria:
Marks in house tests;
Attendance;
Performance in teaching practice;
Discipline, manners, etiquette, politeness, obedience, and sincerity;
Participation in co-curricular activities, organizational skills, performance in college functions, sports meets, ASP Cultural Festival, etc.;
Punctuality and proper dress code adherence;
An additional 5% marks will be awarded to the top three students based on extraordinary performance, as determined by an expert committee.
Any form of malpractice in college or university examinations will be dealt with severely, including expulsion from the examination hall and further disciplinary action.
The college management reserves the right to rusticate/suspend any student for indisciplinary actions.
Shouting or unnecessary loitering within the college campus is strictly prohibited.
Smoking, chewing tobacco, consuming intoxicating substances (including chewing gum), spitting on walls, or causing any nuisance is punishable and may lead to expulsion.
Students misbehaving with peers (especially female students), disobeying, or disrespecting any teaching/non-teaching staff will face disciplinary action.
Ragging and sexual harassment in any form are strictly prohibited. Severe measures will be taken against offenders.
The use of excessive cosmetics (lipstick, perfumes, nail polish, etc.) is prohibited.
A prescribed dress code is mandatory for all students. Those without proper attire, well-groomed hair, clean and trimmed nails, and polished shoes will not be permitted to attend classes.
No student will be allowed to enter a class 15 minutes after it has commenced.
Carrying and displaying the college identity card is compulsory during college hours.
Students are subject to security checks upon entry and exit from the campus. No one may leave early without written permission from the management.
No friends, visitors, relatives, or outsiders are allowed inside classrooms or laboratories.
Cars must be parked only in designated areas.
The college is not responsible for any loss of personal belongings on campus. Students must keep their valuables secure.
College property must be handled with care. Any damage caused by a student will be compensated from their caution deposit.
Meeting the Principal requires prior permission.
Attendance is mandatory in seminars, tutorial classes, educational excursions, community outreach programs, exhibitions, and college celebrations.
These rules apply equally to all trainees and come into effect at the start of the academic calendar.
All decisions by the college authority are final. Legal disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Kolkata High Court.
The college reserves the right to expel any student for violating norms without providing a reason.
Studentship may be terminated on serious disciplinary grounds.
